#323 - Please get a PEC

Going to the post office to make a registered letter is always a very surreal experience.
In this case, the post office is very nice, having been recently built, but I prefer to gloss over the quality of service.
The saddest thing of all was the ad the person at the counter gave me while I was getting the registered letter: he asked me if I wanted to make a phone top-up....

#322 - Fortunately, I forget about her

She came back.
She did it at night, waking me up.
At first, I didn’t recognise her, as usual, because fortunately she rarely showed up.
There was a time when she first showed up, always with me, like a shadow. Then her appearances became more and more infrequent.
There is not much I can do to get rid of her presence or prevent her from revisiting me....

#321 - Music, maestro

Today has been a tiring day, thankfully a productive one nonetheless, but since yesterday I have had a little reason to rejoice: the soundtrack of these days has changed.
For me, to find something I like, musically speaking, is rare, and I often start listening to something but don’t get excited about it.
Like everyone who gets older,...

#320 - Fitocose Blueberry cream

Today is the first day of autumn; this morning, the sky was as clear as one rarely sees in Milan, and it was chilly. However, the temperature had already dropped for a few days, at least in the evening.
So I abandoned the light summer creams in favour of a fuller cream since my skin showed evident dryness.
My usual one was just fine,...

#319 - Regaining one's face

The goal of the diet is still far, far away (or so it seems to me), despite the new scales saying I can do it within a couple of months or so (I reckon it will take me three, three and a half). Mind you, I’m not giving up; I can’t take all this extra weight on me, literally.
It is and remains a question of health that I am no longer fresh from the fridge,...

#318 - I bought a watch

This summer, I ruined the glass of the beautiful watch I loved so much, with a steel case; I don’t know how probably with mosquito spray. I had therefore recovered another watch I had, again flat but this time black, but it was without a battery.
I put the battery back in, and everything had been fine until a few days ago when it started losing minutes....

#317 - Day started badly

I woke up before dawn, as in the worst traditions. Nervous about being nervous about things that are not in the least bit worthy of making me nervous.
On top of that, I discovered something that left me very sad, although I hope there was a misunderstanding. Today I have the impression that it will be a difficult day,...

#316 - I should have bet on it

I confess that I was tempted to bet on the Scottish independence referendum yesterday. I wanted to bet a beer, a dinner, money, something. But then I didn’t do it, and not because I was afraid of losing: the truth is that I didn’t feel like being right (yes, I know, I really am made in my way), and then I wouldn’t have collected the winnings....
