γνῶθι σεαυτόν

It has been almost a month since we arrived here, and a lot has happened.

We have moved four times, and before long, we will probably change again, but we now have our own micro flat now.

Despite interviews, around ten so far, I think, I still haven’t found a job; the good news is that my better half has found one, and it seems to be going well.

But I have realised by being here how little I know myself and how much I have learnt about myself these days.

I have many more limitations than I thought, and going far out of my comfort zone has greatly destabilised me.

I never thought I would have such a hard time adapting, and I’m not just talking about the difficulty of having limited space or the lack of things like a bidet.

The title of this post means know thyself, and that is precisely what I am doing, and what I have realised about myself I don’t like very much.

Above all, I never thought I would miss Italy so much, even though it is unreasonable to think about going back.

But for now, the main thing is to find a job, then we will see.
