As I had already written, the day before yesterday, I went to try the new bareMinerals liquid foundation, which finally came out in Sephora shops.
In the month of difference, when it was already out in England but not in Italy, I read and saw every review, and above all, I tried the Shade Finder to be ready when it would come out and start testing it from a specific shade.
The result was that the colour 08 Bare Beige was okay for me, despite the shop assistant’s doubts, a colour that I then bought.
The first impression was very positive: it is very liquid, the coverage is very adjustable, and it covers my redness well. At first, it feels a bit greasy, but then it absorbs, and the skin remains smooth and soft. This is because the third ingredient is a coconut derivative, an ingredient I had already noticed to be perfect for my dry skin.
I tried it again all day yesterday, putting it on without the moisturiser I usually use and applying it with my fingers instead of the brush. Spreading it with my fingers is very easy; it looks a lot like a BB Cream in this respect, but unlike BB Creams, which have low or shallow coverage, this one is very adjustable.
I kept it on for 12 hours, even in the sun, without powder on top; towards evening, I added a little powder as I had sweated during the day, and it had become a bit shiny.
I didn’t have any problem with skin dryness; on the contrary, my skin felt great.
It’s better than the compact I usually use because it is liquid and doesn’t emphasise the wrinkles too much, and then precisely, the presence of coconut helps the skin to remain soft.
Better than BB Cream and better than a regular foundation, the ingredients are primarily green.
In short, for me an excellent product, but I have the impression that it is not very suitable for oily skin.
My advice is to go and try it to find the right colour (there are 20 of them) and to understand the performance on your skin, and keep it for at least a few hours.
