#9 - Of the uselessness of feeds with only summaries

Within Inoreader, the feed reader I use and recommend, there is the magnificent armchair button: it is the button that automagically retrieves the full text of the article without going to the site.
This function is common to many other feed readers; simply, it is about to become entirely useless for distributing feeds with only the summary to bring readers to the site (and, of course, offer them advertisements).
But what has never been clear until now to those who did such operations is that those who know and use a feed reader, unless the site was of extreme interest, would tend not to go for a truncated feed and would hardly replace reading the feed with visiting the site.
I have always advised clients to either distribute the full feed or don’t distribute it.
And maybe find other ways to bring people to your site (people, not visitors, not customers, not users: people).
