WordCamp Milan 2010

Warning: this article was written over 13 years ago, some information may be out of date.

Ultimately, I only managed to attend WordCamp on Saturday, although I got to look at the stream on Friday.
I have to say that I enjoyed this edition of WordCamp: just the right balance of fun and seriousness, very interesting talks, and lots of people to say hello to and get to know.

I want to thank wolly again, whom I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to before I left (and with him many others to whom I apologise profusely), and all those who spoke.

Two presentations, in particular, appealed to me, and I found them very useful:

Plugins: development pills, tips and tricks, by Giovambattista Fazioli
Custom taxonomies and post types, by Maurizio Pelizzone

Two others I recommend, even though I did not follow them directly:

Thesis, WordPress and imagination: three ingredients to improve your blog, by Tiziano Fogliata
WordPress security to avoid disappearing from Google, by Sean Carlos

In any case, one only has to look at the day’s programme and do a search to find practically all the presentations.

Enjoy.
