Letter to Senator Pietro Ichino /2

I sent the previous letter at 12.12 p.m. and 12.57 p.m. I received a reply.
In the reply, I was asked, ‘what kind of policy do you propose’.
Below is my answer.

Dear Senator Ichino, first of all, thank you for replying so quickly.

As I wrote to you earlier, if I had the policy to propose, I would do your job, and that is not what I currently do, being employed as a Web Developer.
Some associations and institutions have tried many times to make their voices heard, which has gone unheeded.

I believe that you are in a much better position than I am to hear these voices and that you are adequately supported by your staff, who also receive adequate compensation for this.

Perhaps I can make some suggestions: reintroduce full-time schools by abolishing funding to public schools, introduce checks on salaries and promotions in the public and private sectors, equate maternity with paternity in all its aspects and adequately inform everyone about this, run an information campaign against discrimination against women that aims to rethink erroneous and discriminatory attitudes and behaviour, increase sentences in cases of rape to at least 15 years (the fact that a rapist, even if convicted, gets out of prison within a few years if not months contributes to perpetuating the mentality that women are objects and rape a venial sin instead of a sin against the person).

But that is not the point, dear Senator. The point is not to discriminate against women again, treating them as handicapped when they are often healthy carriers of intelligence.
This is why I wrote to you: you propose to give away fish instead of teaching them how to fish. Give us the tools to improve our condition instead of giving us a sop without any future.

Thank you again
Kind regards
